Elizabeth M. Evans is a leading voice in the Child Advocacy movement.
As an experienced advocate, teacher, leader, and published author she has been an active figure in child advocacy and early childhood education communities both locally and internationally.
Elizabeth served as a Professor of Early Childhood Development at West Los Angeles for 35 years and Chair of the department for 20 years. Her research and experience spans over 40 years. She has been an instrumental figure in creating radical shifts in the framing and practices surrounding quality of life issues for young children, particularly as it relates to holistic developmental approaches. Elizabeth is known to be a beacon of light, highlighting intuitive understandings of the soul of children and the sacred life experiences encountered in childhood. From this purpose she has written ‘Embracing the Gift of Parenthood” available through Amazon and Barnes and Noble, and is currently working to complete her second book “The Global Covenant to Protect the Sacred Lives of Children.”
At the foundation, Elizabeth has spent her career teaching pre-school age children and the teachers who teach children during this critical age. She has expanded upon this knowledge to also serve as a Professor at numerous colleges and universities, and an education consultant to diverse populations of parents and agencies concerned with the societal disposition, conceptualization and treatment of all children.
She has appeared as a special guest on the world renowned Les Brown Show discussing critical concerns and practices in online education as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic, and regularly provides guidance to parents and educators faced with the societal challenges that impact children today. As a motivational speaker, audiences are uplifted and inspired through her passionately powerful but tender message. Elizabeth has participated in strategic global collaborations with partnering organizations including Oxford University’s Department of Education Roundtable and orphanages in Central America in conjunction with the University of Belize.
Elizabeth earned her B.S. in Speech and Communications from the University of California, Los Angeles, and graduated from the University of Southern California with a M.S. in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. She is a member of the Association for Childhood Education International, the National Black Child Development Institute, and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
In her work to ultimately shift the consciousness of the planet toward creating a deeper loving soul experience for children, Elizabeth utilizes the platforms of her YouTube channel, podcast, blog and motivational speaking engagements to spur conversation and foster new understandings. Elizabeth is rooted in Southern California with her family and daughter, where she calls home.
